EDMS is known for field hospitals, response teams and public care. But we know artists, production teams and everyone travelling with them have needs of their own.

Schedules are tight. Leaving site for medicines, tests or referrals is hard.

International travel

For anyone travelling in and out of the UK on the day, getting medical help isn’t easy – even with private medical insurance.

So we come to you

We bring the care to them, in a dedicated area backstage or in the artists’ area.

What the team usually provides.

  • A dedicated doctor

    Experienced in ear, nose and throat issues, primary care for artists and their family/those travelling with them, travel fatigue, mental health and wellbeing, soft tissue injuries, back pain, sexual health, and long-term conditions.

  • Physiotherapy

    A physiotherapist for every type of musculoskeletal problem, offering acupuncture, TENS, kinesiology and ultrasound for acute and chronic problems.

  • Counselling

    Trained counsellors caring for the wellbeing of artists, families and teams, experienced with anxiety, depression and PTSD.

  • Prescriptions and dispensing

    Private prescriptions and dispensing, with a significant formulary on site and access to specialist medicines – so artists stay on site.

  • Direct specialist referrals

    Referrals DIRECT to a specialist, including video consultations from scene. Our on-call ENT, maxillofacial, orthopaedic, surgical and paediatric consultants mean the very best care for a very wide range of conditions.

  • Diagnostics on site

    X-ray, blood tests and ultrasound without leaving the event or back of house.

  • Vaccinations

    A wide range of vaccinations – routine, travel or injury-related.

  • Private scans

    Immediate, direct private scans, including CT and MRI.

  • Drips and injections

    Rehydration drips and injections to keep you fit and healthy on tour.

  • Travel paperwork

    Fitness-to-travel letters and passport photo signing.
