Emergency Doctors Medical Services (EDMS) is an event medical provider based in Essex, covering events across the UK. We’re clinician led and CQC registered, and we hold ourselves to the highest standards of medical care. From first aid to consultant doctor, we can staff every level.
A simple idea.
Why we started
EDMS was born from a simple idea: events deserve safe, comprehensive medical care. We work hand in hand with event providers, local authorities and the ambulance service to give the best possible care to everyone who needs us.

Your legal duty
Every public event has a legal duty: adequate first aid, ambulance and medical cover. The right level depends on your event. The Event Industry Association sets out the guidance in the Event Safety Guide (commonly called the Purple Guide).

EDMS Medical is a specialist in event medicine for the festival, music, EDM, concert and outdoor event industry. For over 14 years, we’ve delivered high-acuity care on site at a wide range of events. The goal? Less pressure on the NHS – fewer ambulance calls and emergency department visits – throughout your event.

Our standard set-up.
- Field hospitals unsurpassed in the UK, with dedicated minors, majors, resuscitation, paediatric and observation bays
- Near-patient diagnostic blood tests, on site
- On-site X-ray – our own, never outsourced
- Critical care staff on site, with sedation, anaesthesia and emergency surgical capability
- Specific management for drug-induced seizure and malignant hyperpyrexia (we carry Dantrolene Sodium for this), plus on-site patient cooling equipment
- Diagnostic ultrasound
- A senior physiotherapy team for a wide range of muscle and skeletal injuries
- A medicines dispensing service
- Mental health practitioners who refer directly to local teams
- Ambulances, pit teams, crowd retrieval teams and campsite first aid points
