Emergency Doctors Medical Service (EDMS) is a specialist provider of event medical support, critical care services and inter-hospital transport based in Manningtree (Essex). Covering a wide variety of local and national events from small fun runs to large scale festivals. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated facilities staff to join us at larger events (such as festivals).

Applicants to this role will be required to undertake specialist training in addition to completing our online mandatory training courses run by our in- house education and development team. As a facilities volunteer, you will be responsible for keeping clinical areas clean and to an operational standard. This role is ideal for any applicants who want experience working within a large multidisciplinary team and those who want great incentives in return for some voluntary work.

Main Duties

  1. To provide support services to staff working within medical centres in accordance with best practice, current EDMS guidelines and within your scope of practice
  2. To carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the team leader to the required standard. Cleaning duties can be in any area within our medical centres
  3. Ensure that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to
  4. To work as part of a multidisciplinary team at large events and other contracted work – where necessary providing mentorship junior staff
  5. To use only equipment that is properly serviced, fit for purpose and appropriate for patient care and to ensure its cleanliness, proper use and storage
  6. To ensure you remain up to date with training in order for you to fulfil your contracted work with us
  7. To provide domestic and welfare support to staff and patients
  8. To maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene
  9. To ensure appropriate use of PPE
